Kathy's Priorities

The function of the Recorder’s office is one of oversight and administration. Efficiency and ease of use are of the utmost importance, and maintaining public trust in the office will always be a priority. In her second term, Kathy also looks forward to researching forward-thinking ways to modernize records, expanding community outreach efforts, and continuing to provide excellent customer service.

Modernization of Permanent Records

While the Recorder’s office currently provides access to indexed documents and digital images, technology is always changing and there is always room for improvement. While continuing the work that the office is already doing to modernize permanent records, she wants to research forward-thinking ways to preserve images currently stored on microfilm. She also wants to continue back indexing historical documents, making them accessible to the public.

Cyber-Security Safeguards

Cyber-security is an ever-evolving threat that needs to be taken seriously. A top priority for Kathy’s second term is to continue efforts at keeping up to date with new technology and working with IT and other departments to create safeguards to prevent fraud and cyber-attacks.

Community Outreach

Over the past few years, the Recorder’s office has prioritized community outreach. Kathy will continue to prioritize these community outreach programs, such as Property Fraud Alerts, the Veterans Resource Fair, and Senior Scam Workshops and expand efforts to inform the public about these important free services.

Customer Service

The function of the Recorder’s office is one of oversight and administration. Efficiency and ease of use are of the utmost importance. The staff in the Recorder’s office, as well as all of the DuPage County departments that I have worked with, are excellent. It is one of my top priorities to continue to provide excellent and efficient customer service.
